Spectacular sunsets paint the panorama. 

From the end of July (dependent on rains and sun) the flower season adds another dimension of beauty to the scenery.  First the tiny blossoms appear - these can only be spotted when on foot.  They are followed by a myriad large white daisies, then merging clouds of yellow and orange, blue, mauve and cerise.  Should the rains fall and the sun shine consistently, veld flowers continue to bloom well into October.

During this period, the semi-desert West Coast region resembles verdant English Countryside.  One glance at the Lagoon and imagination transports one to Scotland, the Lake District or an idyllic Greek Island.
